Template Header, Footer and Style Sheet
The Template contains a Header, Footer, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and additional files which reside on the National Server. When previewed in a web browser all files are visible, but while designing the web pages the header and Footer are not. For this reason we suggest you preview often. No matter which model template you chose for your unit, they all have the same header and footer. This is where web recognition and public awareness come in.
- Template Header
The Template header contains a wealth of drop down links that provides easier navigation for website visitors and less maintenance for web managers. You'll want to become familiar with these links so you don't duplicate them in your side navigation. The header file resides on the Server and links to your webpage once published or previewed in a browser. -
Template Footer
Like the Template header, the footer also has several key visitor and member links you'll want to become familiar with. With the provision of these links, the web manager can concentrate on the local mission of their unit. The footer file also resides on the server and is viewable on your web page when previewed in a browser. - Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)
The CSS file attached to the Auxiliary Template is uscgaux.css. This CSS controls the way fonts and formatting looks within the website. As you work with the Template you will become more familiar with the power of CSS. Check out the Style page for a more detailed look at the styles provided for you.
